These paintings show deconstruction as it relates to time. The idea of material being
in flux is a main focus. I use collage and decollage to build up and tear away materials to create layers. Surface
becomes a direct link to the effects time has on an object and its environment. This process also deconstructs advertisements and
refines there formal aspects. Color, shape, line and form become elements on a more pure level. They play with the advertising,
consumer agenda and are re-presented in a new context. The layers, materials and unpredictability reflect the urban environment.
